Built By Iowa is an early-stage fund launched in Iowa City in 2013 by Ravi Patel, Roby Miller and Adam Ingersoll — created to help founders bridge the funding gap between angel money and a Series A.
The focus is Iowa technology companies, though the fund invests nationally and across verticals when it believes in the team and the opportunity. Several of the companies here came up through the Iowa Startup Accelerator.
Our fund is primarily focused on supporting good Iowa-based businesses that have what it takes to disrupt their respective markets.
